Top Tips to Get the Most Out of Your Morning!

Morning is arguably the hardest and most crucial part of the day! It can really set the tone for the rest of it, so a great routine is vital! We’ve devised some tips that have really worked for us over lock-down.

Thanks so much for reading this blog post about how to perfect your morning routine! This is something we can all struggle with. We know how this can feel, all too well.

Now, over the years and especially over the months of lock-down, quarantine and self isolation we have devised some tips and routines that help us get up and at em everyday and now we are going to share these with you! Because not only can this help with energy levels and mental health but these tips can really get you going for a happy and productive day!

So let’s get started on the perfect morning routine.

So let’s get started on the perfect morning routine.


This is going to be the hardest part. It always is. But it doesn’t have to be. This can be a time to reflect and think about the day ahead, just try to keep it positive. If you need an extra snooze or to just lay there for ten mins, go for it, you know your body better than anyone else. Just take it slow if you need to. Inhale, exhale. Inhale, exhale. Now lets get up.

Most Important Morning Tip: HYDRATE

Your body is more than likely gasping for some hydration. So take five and get yourself a glass, have it however you prefer it – ice cold, room temp or hot. It will refresh you, hydrate you and those little organs and help wake you up. If you’re a prepper, you can put a bottle of water next to your bed the night before so you can do this without having to leave your warm bed. Trust us, this works.


This is another tough part. But it doesn’t have to be. Working out first thing in the morning is one of the best things we can allow ourselves to do. It can wake us up, get us energised and make us feel like we’re going to take on the day. We all know that exercise releases those little happy chemicals in our brain called endorphins, so it’s a great mood booster too! Don’t feel like you have to do a full hours cardio every morning though. Only you know what your body is capable of. So even if you only fancy doing a quick walk around the block, 10 mins of yoga or a full two hour gym sesh, pick something that suits you and your time schedule.



So after your chosen workout, head straight for the shower. No one wants to fester in the their own filth and it would be criminal to subject anyone else to it. So perfect your water temp and bask in the watery goodness, just remember to wash behind those ears!


We couldn’t stress this more. Most people will be heading to work so they’ll get their uniforms or work attire on. But if your working from home, jobless or having a day off, just putting real clothes on can be psychologically beneficial for our productivity levels. Moisturise that skin, serum up those pores and lather on some deodorant, if you give yourself five to ten mins of ‘you’ time here, it can really improve your mood. Love yo’self.

Super Important Morning Tip: BREAK YOUR FAST!

Now we’ve put eat last here, this is to give yourself time to allow yourself to be hungry. Putting off eating for about an hour (or more if you’re into intermittent fasting) in the morning will allow your body to digest and burn off yesterdays foods that bit more. Making breakfast tastier and hopefully putting off any unwanted desire to pick unhealthy snacks in the day. Also working out in a ‘fasted’ state will also help burn off fat more effectively (so we’ve heard).

Now you should be ready to take on the day!



One of this biggest things we are thankful for right now is a day to day planner. We plan our daily activities from dawn till dusk and do this a week at a time. We plan our workouts, our meals and our everything! This helps us get up in the morning, do out daily routine and head straight into our to-do list. Planning allows us to take action and get going instead of just crashing on the sofa stressing about what to do for the day. So go and get yourself a planner, organise your days and you’ll see a vast improvement in how your days go and your mental health too!


So you could replace your workout with a meditation session instead, which we also recommend! But something we like to do is combine meditating with showering or getting ready. For instance we could do some breathing techniques while we shower, give ourselves a scalp massage or chant some affirmations while we are getting ourselves ready for the day. If you have time, you could even add on an extra ten mins to have a proper session in the morning. Great for the mind, body and soul!


That’s it, every morning try and list just three things you are grateful for. But don’t just say it willy nilly, try and really mean it! You’ll notice a change in your mood straight after.
